The one other charge: special handling
Some carts need more than a normal delivery bag. A cake or a tray of sweets needs a rigid carrier kept flat and upright (₹20); ice cream and frozen items need an insulated bag with gel packs (₹30). We add the right box automatically based on what is in the cart — you don't choose it, and the customer is never charged for it.
It is deducted from your payout, separately from commission. Most of it goes to the rider who owns and maintains the equipment. It applies only to delivery orders that actually need it — never to pickup, never to a cart without such items.
Your regulars still call. Keep them — at 2%.
Customers who phone the shop don't have to become app orders to be worth billing properly. Punch the order into NeighbourCart and we'll take the payment, send the receipt, and book a rider only if you want one. Because you brought the customer, the rate is lower than a normal online order.
You deliver it yourself
Flat 2% commission, whatever your tenure — and you keep the entire delivery fee the customer pays.
Customer collects
Flat 2% commission on pickup orders. No rider, no delivery fee, lower ₹50 minimum.
We send a rider
Your normal tenure rate, but never above 7.5% — even in year two. You brought the customer, so we don't charge the full online rate.
Phone orders also carry a smaller platform fee — ₹5 flat plus 2%, against ₹10 flat on an online order — because they cost us less to process.
